Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon

The Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon (LMHM) is bigger than ever and just a few weeks away. April 5th, 2008 to be exact. Jason and I will not be running in it this year, seeing it is scheduled the day before the St. Louis Marathon. We will, however, be in attendance. We have a photographer who will be taking a ton photos and posting them on our website, so be sure to check back. We are also hoping to get some video of the event to be highlighted on one of our shows. So look for us in our HardyBreed.com T-Shirts.

The LMHM course travels through most of the Lincoln historic sites in Springfield, IL. The course itself is rather hilly. The picture below may look like a bunch of speed bumps but for Springfield, those are hills.

The race directors Tim & Tammy McCaughey and Tim Butler are doing a great job this year. I have been getting a steady supply of emails updating me on the latest event information. The HalfWits training program has grown every year and is offering several group training runs for the race.

The LMHM website http://www.runabe.com/ is still taking registrations.

We hope to see you at the race!
