Speed play

“The sun is up, the sky is new, it’s beautiful and so are you. Dear Prudence” To quote the Beatles, the sun was out today, so couldn’t pass up run outside.  With the Jingle Bell run next weekend, I thought it would be a good idea to get some speed work in.  I bundled up the kids and we started a run to the track.  Well, Reily rode his scooter, and B ran with me… most of the way.  Its about a mile to the track from my house.  A perfect warm up.  I started my workout: 8x 200’s with a 100 walk after the odds.  Then 4x 400’s.  It had been a month or two since I had been to the track, and I was surprised my times were not too bad.  On the way back home we would run a block, walk a block, you would have thought I was torturing my kids. 

We made it back home, and I turned on my exercise tv 6 pack ab burn workout with Cindy Whitmarsh.  She has great abs.  Must be the genes.  In the video you do stand obliques, and everyones favorite, planks.  Great work out.
