With my last 20 miler done, I am officially on taper. I forgot until I went and looked at my training schedule. My longest weekly run is 5 miles. I was able to jump on the treadmill and do my 30 min tempo run after work yesterday. I did 5 miles in the park after work today. I have never run a marathon before,and I’m sure the taper is going to get me. I don’t want to lose any speed or fitness. I did a mile swim before doing 1745 powerzone. I guess that doesn’t sound like much of a taper. I will slow down the week of the race, promise.
