Early Swim, Evening Track

Steven and I made out to fc south before work, and got a swim work out in.  We did a 300 warm up, and then 4×50 stroke drills.  For the main set we did 6×50’s on the 45, and then 4×50’s on the 40 sec.  I then finished with 6×150’s on the 2:15.  A cup of Jamaican me nuts coffee from the Bean Counter and I was off to work. 

As soon as I left work I could feel the humidity hanging in the air, I knew it was going to be a hot night at the track.   I did “Tank top arms” with Cindy Whitmarsh, and legs and abs before riding up to the track.  After the warm up we did 1600, 1200, 800, 800, 400.  I tried to stay on the fast kids tails for most of the work out.  On the last 400 Lance suggested “under 1:30”  Okay, I’m dumb enough to try.  I push with all I had left and made it in 1:31.  I rode back home for my cool down and made a recovery shake.
