Columbia River Valley

We flew into Seattle then drove to Wenatchee (Entiat), Washington the next day.  I’m pretty excited to run in a different area than always down Washington St.  The view is specatactular of the Columbia River and the Entiat River.  Winding along with the river on one side and mountains on the other.  Better than tall corn.

The weather is gorgeous, 77 degrees, sunny, and not a cloud in the sky.  I depart for my run headed north on Entiat River Road.  I run for 3.5 miles then turn around.  Not much elevation since it is along the river but not a straght away in sight.  I do take one jaunt up the bluff to Sandy’s uncle house and hit a 19% grade.  Oh, man did it hurt.  It was miles 6.75 to 7.00 so I finished on a painful note.  I did take my Garmin and was pleased to read an average pace of 7:59 for 7 miles.  Not too bad for my longest run in 7 weeks.
