Blister In The Sun

Contrary to what the Violent Femmes believe I came up with a better use of my “alone time”. Who doesn’t love doing a track workout alone, in the blistering sun?
I warmed up for about 2 miles then began the self-inflicted torture. 1600, 1200, 800, and 400. It doesn’t sound like a lot but it hurt. I’m sure I was north of 07:00/mile for the final 400. I was running slower as the laps increased. I was trying to get in 5K shape for the Polka Pace Race but I don’t think it worked. Today was an indication that my speed is lacking. I was in pain from lap 1 all the way to lap 10.
I returned home with a sunburn and exhaustion.
