Aerosmith is probably my least favorite band but their song seemed appropriate for today’s ride. Don’t get me wrong, I have lip-synced to “Dream On” on many occasions. Thanks to Rich and the guys from R&M Cyclery I got my bike back on Thursday. It is pretty much a new bike. A brand new frame and wheels with my old Dura Ace components. It’s pretty cool.
Dan met me at my house around 10:00 and we proceeded to ride a little over 30 miles. We did take a detour to Wheelfast and talked shop with HardyBreeds Bob S., Josh N., and Matt S. I also bought a couple of water bottle cages. They were handy as it was pretty humid today.
It felt soooo good to turn the pedals again after 8 weeks. The ride was nice and slow, the weather was beautiful, and the company good. I can’t ask for much more than that. I don’t want to ever take things for granted again.
