Today I swam at lunch. I decided to go ahead and write down on a piece of paper exactly what I was going to do. I thought that this would keep me from cheating and on schedule. Here is what I did:
200 yard warm up
2 x 50 on :60
2 x 100 on 2:00
2 x 150 on 3:00
2 x 200 on 4:00
2 x 150 on 3:00
2 x 100 on 2:00
2 x 50 on :60
Writing this down really paid off for me today. I started at the top and did not take any more time than allotted. So this 1800 yards did not take me more than 32 minutes plus the 200 warm up. I was in and out like a flash.
This was a big change for me, because I would usually find myself taking too much of a breather at the end of each rep. Today was a perfect lunch time set!
