When ever I travel for work, I make it a priority to run in the new environment. My recent travels to Palm Spring California was a new experience.
The first day I ran the streets of Palm Springs. Surrounded by mountains, the visual was inspiring. I was able to get in 7 miles before heading out to dinner that night.
The second day I heard about a trail head just up the road. It was called the Museum Trail, which started right behind the art museum.
Looking up at the trail, I soon discovered that I would not be running this trail…
I went ahead and started going up. I have never climbed a mountain before so, I thought this would be pretty cool.
Making it half way up, I decided to head back down, so I would have enough time to get ready for my conference that morning.
I got another 2.5 miles in. Two of that was running. The other half was the hike. Not a huge workout for the day…
