What is “Fight for Air” Stairclimb?

The “Fight for Air” Stairclimb is the American Lung Association in Illinois competitive stair climb. It is sometimes referred to as a vertical road race since it requires individuals to move their entire body weight vertically rather than horizontally. However, it isn’t just a race…while many individuals run up the stairs as fast as they can; the “Fight for Air” Stairclimb welcomes individuals of all athletic capabilities.

Who can participate?

Novice and expert climbers of all ages are welcome! Participants can climb as individuals or in teams (4 or more people). We encourage friends, family, colleagues and others to join you or form a team of their own to create some friendly competition.

(after January 8, 2010)–$25
Note: Does not include minimum fundraising fee of $100. Climbers must have $115-$125 turned in by Event Day.
