Week One

My toe is much better, thanks for asking, It’s ugly and I will probably lose the nail, but it’s just a toe.  I began marathon training this week.  I am following the Hal Higdon advanced II training plan. http://www.halhigdon.com/marathon/advancedint.htm  Yesterday I did 3.5 miles with hill repeats.  I did this in my Newtons, and today my hamstrings are tight.  Maybe from the shoes, maybe from the hills?  I went back to my asics today, and did a 5 mile pace run on the treadmill.  I did a mile warm up, and then 3.5 miles at an 8-8:15 pace, and .5 mile cool down.  I followed the run with an hour of weights in powerzone.
