Repeats

Gorgeous day today.  I have been in need of some speed work so I set out toward the high school.  I ran about 3 miles before heading to the track.

As usual the place was empty except for me and about trillion gnats.  The gnats were good motivation to make me run faster.  Once there I removed my Garmin, my iPod, and (for those of you with a queasy stomach and/or are easily offended you may want to stop reading………..) my shirt.  Yes, for the first time this year I ran shirtless.  Hair was flying and flab was jiggling, I even had to wear sunglasses to protect my eyes from the glare from my pasty-white chest.  What a great visual, I know.

Anyway, my routine was simple.  I ran 4 laps, then 3 laps, then 2 laps, then 1 lap.  It sucked to say the least.  I purposefully didn’t take my Garmin because I knew my times would be horrible.  I just wanted to blow out the pipes.

2 more miles home gave me 5 miles plus the repeats.
