Let It Flow

“Let it flow, let yourself go, slow and low, that is the tempo”.  The Beastie Boys could not have described today’s run better.  It was the tail end of my Christmas vacation.  My last day off was today so I went out for a long run.

It’s been a while since I ran with my iPod so I replaced the Garmin with the iPod.  The first song on shuffle was the aforementioned and it immediately put a spring into my step.  The wind was at my back and I was rockin’ down Washington St.

By the time I was heading west in Washington Park the temperature seemed to drop and the wind was in my face.  I was feeling good so I slogged away.  There were tons of runners and walkers in the park so I was happy to give the obligatory head not or wave.

I ended with 10 miles and a groovy psyche.  Just tryin’ to get in as many base miles as possible prior to the “real” training.
