The family went to see “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” tonight. This was the first time we have taken both kids to a movie together so it has been quite a while since I’ve been to a theater. Man, did I get some culture shock.
I found out retrospectively that tonight was the premier of “Twilight“. A highly anticpated movie based on a series of books about a girl who falls in love with a vampire. Needless to say the theater was jammed packed with teenagers. They were standing in line more than an hour before show time. And it was being shown on more than 1 screen.
So 90% of the theater was filled with either “cool” teenagers (seeing Twilight) or children (seeing Madagascar) running around everywhere. Yes, I felt old. I guess in about 10 more years my kids will be the ones standing in line to see the next teen movie.

My wife Julie was there to see Twilight.
Is she 12?
