Bugs Never Tasted So Good

By Jason • Jul 22nd, 2008 • Category: Jason's Training Log

4 weeks and 5 hours since my surgery.  Today was my first “real” run.  I ran for a total of 2.5 miles.  Suprisingly I wasn’t huffing and puffing like I thought I would.  I did run pretty slow though.  I made sure to decelerate on the descents to lessen the pounding on my clavicle.

It’s been a long time since I have been that far from home without some sort of transportation to return home.  It felt kind of wierd.  Speaking of return home…….  On the return leg I got a good dose of protein when a bug flew down my throat.  After 60 seconds of coughing I thought to myself “It’s good to be back………”
