My training has really slowed down the last few weeks. Foot trouble along with the overcast days and 4:00 sunsets have definitely not helped matters. Sunday after the frostbite, I did a pathetic 8 mile run on the treadmill. Then the warm spell on Monday I was able to get out for a run at lunch. About 4.5 miles. Tuesday was an off day. Then today I hit the weights.
My training is all over the place. I need to get back into a routine and set some goals. I guess one goal is the Illinois Marathon.
Jason and I are going to duplicate our training plan from last year. It seemed to work alright. I think with a few tweaks it will do us some justice. I don’t want to speak for both of us but I think the overall goal is to try to qualify for Boston. A pretty lofty goal, and I probably won’t know if I can do it until I start training.
I will probably have to push myself much harder than last year, and it is going to suck.
