I think it has been close to 4 weeks, that I have been off my foot (I haven’t been running). I was very skeptical going to the doctor in the first place. Thank God, I have great insurance! I have had 1 express care visit, 1 doctors visit, 1 MRI… And what do I get for all my visits? A phone call saying, I have a stress fracture on my Calcaneus (heel) and to stay off of it… and if it hurts when I walk I should use crutches…(not a chance!) Then come back in a couple of weeks…
This is kind of reason I haven’t been to the doctor before. You body tends to heal itself, and I like waiting it out…
It looks like the marathon is off, but I have joined the Fit Club and I am planning on signing up for the Triathlon 101 at the YMCA pool. This is going to be the “year of the swim” for me. If I can improve just a little…
I have been going to the pool the last week pretty regularly. My stroke is pretty pathetic. I have been riding the trainer every couple of days. The Tour of California really helps getting through the rides. I have also been keeping up with the core / weights workout.
Not all things are bad…. so I am just trying to keep a positive outlook.
