I Want a New Drug

By Dan • Aug 11th, 2008 • Category: Dan's Training Log

In the words of the immortal Huey Lewis, “I want a new drug. One that will make me run faster, One that will make me ride harder, One that won’t be detected in competition…”  Ok, maybe Huey didn’t say all of that…

After 3 days of nothing, yes, absolutely nothing.  I hit the pavement for a 6 mile run.  I felt totally relaxed and strong.  I am still contemplating Abe’s Able.  I really don’t want to run it.  It would be so much easier just to be a spectator.

I guess I will see how the Tuesday Track Club and Training Race go…

I LOVE U HUEY! (I am not gay, but its ok to express your love for another man isn’t it?)

  1. “Sports” is one of my guilty pleasure CDs that I don’t admit I own to my music snob friends.

  2. Oh, Your a Huey lover and you know it! Be proud!

  3. I too am a closet Huey Lewis fan. Some of my favorites are his more obscure songs like “Finally Found a Home”, “Jacob’s Ladder”, and his first actual hit, “Workin’ for a Living” … they’re all on my ipod. I didn’t make it to the concert, but I have seen Joan Jett twice in my lifetime. I swear one time she looked right at me and said she hated herself for loving me.
