Parade Prep

By Dan • Aug 6th, 2008 • Category: Dan's Training Log

Today I did something I don’t usually do. I got up early an went for a run. 4.5 miles to be exact. Not too fast and not too slow.

I have really been thinking about the Parade Run on Thursday and Abes next Sunday. Do I want to do them? Not particularly. But I have done these races the last few year and I think it might feel funny if I didn’t.

This summer has been a little out of the ordinary. It doesn’t seem like I have been running…

I am tempted to just go run these for the fun of it. No goals at hand, except to finish and to enjoy the race. I might hang back with Jason and just try to keep him on pace. Yes Doogie is back!

I also talked with Lance Cull about running Abes with him. I will just have to see what happens on race day.

  1. I know I was singing when I passed you last night but that drumbeat sounded suspiciously like “36-24-36″ by the Violent Femmes. I love that song, and those guys put on one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. I wasn’t singing a block or two later though.

Thanks for the t-shirt, I will wear it proudly! If you had wicking t-shirts on the site I would definitely acquire at least one. . .
