Just to clear things up. We didn’t go to school with Ann Gaffigan although we did go to SHG. A Katherine Gaffigan graduated a year behind us. I think Ann graduated 10 years or so, after we did (1990.)
Also the Womens Distance festival is to benefit, Girls on the Run, a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect & healthy lifestyles through running. Sorry about that…
Jason did you get that shirt on Ebay Yet?
Great Job guys! On the safty note: as a woman I always carry mace, and my cell phone if I am running early, or late in the day. I’m sad I missed the Scholastic 5k, it’s one of my fav races. I’m also missing the WDF. I will be rafting in Kansas.
Get well soon Jason!
You guys are going to get me in trouble with Tracy. I had to get around that kid because I knew that one of the SHG girls was right behind me, and I really wanted to break 20:00.
Okay, Aaron. Now I see why Trevor (the 12 year old) was worried about going to the Premier 5K - so he headed to the Hillsboro Biathlon to relay with a friend. He said he’s still digging gravel out of his back from being elbow-ed down at the end of Scholastic. I’m sure that’s why he didn’t have a very good day, at Hillsboro - bad memories. So, now you are in trouble with Tracy.
Kidding - but I was glad to see you were beat by a girl in a skirt in the Premier. Wow! You do take punishment on this website, don’t you? Hey, I never saw you - so you must have done pretty well! Still waiting on those results. You’ve been a great sport about that photo!
I don’t mind getting beat by girls in skirts. Or girls in hats, or pink shoes.
I hope Trevor is okay after the elbow. Next year at Scholastic I’ll probably have to throw something at him because he’ll be too far ahead of me to catch an elbow.
You can find the results from Premier here: http://www.frontiernet.net/~djokisch/
I have to be a good sport when the whole world can pull up a photo of a 180 lbs guy digging deep to pass a 4′8, 80 lbs kid. I imagine there is a picture like it from 2005 where I’m sprinting by Jeff Surbeck and Jordan Bartolazzi at the AMA in downtown Springfield.
