American Medical Association 5K

ama5k

I'm not sure which edition this is of the AMA 5K but I have raced it the last couple of years. The race is always well attended for an early year race and very well coordinated. This year's proceeds benefit M.E.R.C.Y. Communities. I'm not sure how many participates there were this year but probably around 75 hardy souls participated. Definitely HardyBreed worthy. No matter how hard you train, most of us will never get close to pro status. Then there are mediocre professionals. They are great in their own right, but not everyone can be a Lance Armstrong. If there was no mediocrecy where would the peleton be? To bring the average in to public view, we have "image." What started my thoughts on this subject was when I started watching the Amgen Tour of … [Read more...]

Tour of California

WOW! I have never been so psyched for a race on American soil since the days of the Tour de Trump. Sunday marks the prologue of the 8-stage, 650 mile Amgen Tour of California (TOC). This is the 3rd year for this UCI ranked race but never (in my mind) has the field been so stacked with exciting riders and teams. There has been the Coors Classic, the Tour of America, the Tour de Trump, and the … [Read more...]

Keurig

The Keurig Special Edition B60 will brew you a cup at a time to keep you going.  This has got to be one of the best investments a coffee drinker could make.  The Keurig uses single serving coffee pods called K-Cups.  They come in all kinds of coffee.  I found that www.coffeeforless.com has a great selection and sells them for $42 for a box of 100 or a box of 25 for $11.50. The coffee comes … [Read more...]
