It’s Movember!

Hello Rabbits,

During Movember (the month formerly known as November) Team HardyBreed is growing moustaches. That’s right! we are bringing the Mo back because we are passionate about tackling men’s health issues and being proactive in the fight against prostate cancer.

Here is what you need to know

  • Mo – slang for moustache
Movember –the month formally known as November
  • Movember is an annual charity event held during November where guys grow a Moustache
  • The Moustache becomes our ribbon and the vehicle by which we raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer
  • Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, our commitment is to grow

There are a few ways you can participate with HardyBreed.com.

  • You can donate to my Mo at Movember.com using your credit card or PayPal account.
(you can give as little as $1 dollar, come on my moustache depends on it!)
  • Join HardyBreed.com’s Movember team. Once registered you’ll be sent all the information you need to get donations and get growing as part of our Movember team.
  • Post a comment of encouragement below.

Throughout the month we will post pictures and videos of our progress.

Currently my team consist of Me, Jason, and Bob Satarelli. Join us to raise money, raise awareness and grow a very cool moustache.

All funds raised by Movember in the US stay in the US and go directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Men’s health is a major issue. Did you know:

Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in the US with one in six American men developing the disease and more than 28,000 men dying of the disease every year.

African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer are twice as likely to develop the disease and should have regular annual testing starting at 45. All other men should commence testing at 50.
Prostate cancer is 90% curable if detected and treated early.

The money raised by Movember is donated directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation which will use the funds for high-impact research to find better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.

Quiksilver CEO Bob McKnight on Quiksilver’s 2007 involvement which raised $64,000:
“Movember is a great way to generate awareness and raise money for prostate cancer. The common enthusiasm Movember generated within our company, from IT staff to marketing, production and even team riders, only added to the fun.”
