Beer, Donuts, Ice Cream - Oh My!

The Fat Ass 5K, (pardon my french) ran on Saturday May, 10th. This was a downtown springfield run/walk with all proceeds going to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Several local businesses put this event on. The event brought out all kinds of people, runners, walkers, drinkers…
The event was held on a few city blocks in the downtown area. The course consisted of several laps and even included the “Fat Ass” shortcut.
Everyone was offered Beer, Donuts and Ice Cream on the course. So it was rather common to see someone come accross the finish with a donut in one hand and a beer in the other. What a beautiful site!
I even had several Hardy Breed Rabbits stop me, and compliment the website. We love to see you out there working hard. So drop us a comment on the race below or make a post in the forum.
I didn’t stop during the race, but I did partake in a few Killians post race!
Ya, a pretty cool race. Great weather and even better atmosphere. Where else can you run a race with a beer station, ice cream station, and water station all in one mile?
