My Prozac

Back at It

I was sitting in my office around 12:00 pondering my pathetic week of training.  I ran 16 miles on Sunday with Danoh and haven't done anything remotely cardiovascular except walk up the stairs and give the kids a bath.  My trainer broke on Tuesday just as I was about to ride and the weather has been less-than-cooperative.  So my depression was growing.  It hit it's peek around 13:00 when I … [Read more...]

First Key workout for the week

It has already been a long training week.  I am in the middle of week 4 on my marathon training schedule.  I completed my key workout number 1 for the week on the treadmill.  It was 3x2 at MP with a half mile recovery between repeats.  I felt pretty good.  My  MP or marathon pace is 8:00 miles.  So doing 2 mile repeats at the 8:00 pace was not a big deal.  I ended up with 7 miles for the … [Read more...]

15 turns in to 17.5

I met Jason for our long run of 15. It was the perfect January day.  50 degrees and a slight westerly wind.  Jason was running late (no pun intended). So I ended up running toward his house.  I think I ended up with 2 miles in before we met up.  I didn't feel that hot to start, I think I will blame the beers from the previous night...  The miles went by slowly, and that is the worst … [Read more...]

Keurig gives you a caffine fix

Keurig

The Keurig Special Edition B60 will brew you a cup at a time to keep you going.  This has got to be one of the best investments a coffee drinker could make.  The Keurig uses single serving coffee pods called K-Cups.  They come in all kinds of coffee.  I found that www.coffeeforless.com has a great selection and sells them for $42 for a box of 100 or a box of 25 for $11.50. The coffee comes … [Read more...]

A Short 3 miles

A short 3 mile today on the treadmile.  I didn't have time for much more.  I covered it with a 8:00 pace.  I felt good, but my legs are a little sore from lifting yesturday.  … [Read more...]
